Hartford Fair Steer Pool Members, Spring Break 2013

With spring break starting this weekend for most steer pool members, I decided to make a couple of home visits to see how some of the steer projects were coming along.  Spring break gives many of the kids extra time to spend with their 4H projects.

My first stop was at the home of Chase Pearce.  In November Chase selected steer #34.  Chases steer is looking very good.  Cassie his mother stated how he has been spending many hours each week brushing and working with his steer.  He plans on weighing his steer this week to see if he is is on track for the August show. Keep up the good work Chase.

Later that day I visited the Pfister Family where I found the entire family working with their 3 Pool Steers and 1 Junior Fair market heifer.  Jarrett was #24 pick, his brother Brock was #30 pick, and their older sister Ali was #34 pick.  The three of them were also hard at work feeding, brushing, and working with their steers.
