Organizational Meeting:   Oct 4, 2016    7:00 pm

@ New Covenant Church, Johnstown

$75 deposit due per exhibitor

Selection Date:     Nov 13, 2016- Sunday

@ Claylick Run Farms, Newark

Registration @ 12:30 and Selection starts @ 1:00 pm

Committee Members be there around 11:00 am  All steers to show up around 11:00 am

Payment is due in full to Farm in which steer came from or sign up with Farm Credit for loan program.

Meeting:        January 15, 2017     @ Park Lanes- Heath    Sunday from 2-4 pm

Cost $10- 2 Hours of unlimited bowling- 6  bowlers per lane which will include shoe rental, pizza and pitcher pop

Meeting:        March 9, 2017  @6:30 pm  Location:  aMAYSing Meats- Johnstown

Topic: Meat Processing 101- Discussion on cuts of beef, location of those cuts of beef, typical tools of a meat cutter, and what makes a good cut of meat.

Home Visits:

Must be completed between Jan 1 and April 1st and counts toward a meeting attended

Hoof Trimming:  June 17th, 2017  Starting at 9:00 for first appointments. Call David Woosley at 740-967-7163 to schedule a time.   Location: Woosley Farm  Cost $30 per animal

July Meeting:  Thursday, July 20, 2017 @7:00 pm

Location: New Covenant Community Church at 8408 Johnstown Utica Rd, Johnstown, OH. Topic: We will discuss the upcoming fair, help with completing record books, and practice with skillathon.

July Barn Setup:     Sunday, July 30, 2017 @2:00 pm

Location: Hartford Fair Steer Pool Barn  Topic: We will discuss the upcoming fair and set up the steer pool barn. (Power washing gates, kick boards, etc).

Skillathon:      Saturday is move in day. All animals must be in place by 2:00pm Saturday, August 5th, 2017. The Steer Pool skillaton is from 2:00 to 4:00pm in the FFA Building.

Weigh In:        Saturday, August 5th, 2017 @ 6:00 pm Following Steer Pool Barn Meeting

Carcass Show:       Friday- August 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm at aMAYSing Meats- Johnstown
